Clubs & Organizations
Western offers many clubs and organizations students may join:
» Book Club
At book club, students meet during lunch once a week to read and discuss a book they have chosen to read together. It is headed by our librarian, Dottie Kamilos.
» International Club (go)
At international club, students meet weekly to learn about other cultures. Activities are arranged to engage the students in other cultures by taking field trips and bringing in guest speakers. International club is headed by our school counselor, Darlene Fritz.
» Art Club
At art club, students meet one day a week after school to discuss and practice different art techniques as well as just having fun in art. It is headed by our art teacher, Laura Lehman.
» Science Club (go)
The science club is primarily centered on competing in the Science Olympiad in the spring. Students select an event to compete in and use the club as well as time after school to work on their event. Science club is headed by Bob Snyder who teaches physics, chemistry, and introduction to physical science.
» National Honor Society (go)
