Callixte and Joyeuse in Rwanda

“Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me.” Mark 9:37

WMS financially supports two Rwandan students

Because of Western’s desire to be a global community and reach the world for Christ, we welcome international students like Callixte (pictured – left) and Herve (not pictured), two Rwandan students currently attending WMS. Since coming to the United States, they are excelling in school, participating in extracurricular activities and deepening their relationship with God.

We have a chance to sponsor two more students

Partnering with their guardian sponsors in Washington, Western hopes to welcome two more Rwandan students, Joyeuse (pictured – right), who is Callixte’s sister, and Shimirwa (not pictured), a 15 year-old boy who is eager to learn.

They are ready to come and Western is ready to help

There are no free public or private schools in Rwanda, making it difficult for poverty-stricken families to afford education. With no hope of a future in Rwanda, Joyeuse and Shimirwa are excited to come to WMS.

Joyeuse and Shimirwa’s guardian sponsors have agreed to pay for their out-of-school living expenses. Western has agreed to try to find sponsors to cover their school expenses, including tuition, housing, food, insurance, tutoring and testing.

We need your support!

You have a chance to dramatically change Joyeuse and Shimirwa’s lives at the Benefit Auction on May 7. These children’s education will cost $20,000 a year each. Will you choose to help change these children’s lives?
