This program operates in conjunction with the school as a service to school families after school care for students (K-8) enrolled in Western Mennonite School. The goal of the program is to provide opportunities for children to have a safe place prior to parents/guardians picking them up.The objective of the Pioneer Afterschool Academy is to provide experience for growth in both developmental skills and everyday problem-solving techniques. These goals can be accomplished through various activities and projects such as:

Supervised Group Play
The Pioneer Afterschool Academy mirrors the school’s policies, procedures and calendar. The curriculum and daily schedule of events are consistent with the philosophy and value system of the school.

Regular School Days | 2:50 – 5:30 pm
Only students (K-8) enrolled in Western Mennonite School may participate in the Pioneer Afterschool Academy.
- No advance sign-up is required. At 2:50 pm teachers will take ALL their students to the carpool area. At 3:00 pm the teacher on duty will escort all remaining students to the PAA room.
- $2.50 per half an hour of care
- $5 per club/sport day – child receives care before or after school club or sport.
Participants are billed monthly for actual days attended. Payment is due no later than the 10th of the month following the month of use. A $50 late fee will be applied to accounts 11 days past due.
